Judgemental mothers & MIL's?!

Anyone nervous to tell the good news to your mother or MIL? Both of mine are difficult to deal with and I think it's them that aren't ready...not me! Lol

I thought my mom would be disappointed but she was thrilled when I told her. I just texted her a photo of the positive pregnancy test. It was my SOs grandparents who told him a week earlier not to get pregnant bc he will end up divorced and a single dad paying child support lol so I just told him to pull the bandaid off and tell them. They surprised me with how supportive they were. In the end it's YOUR life YOUR little family. It's hard sometimes but who cares what everyone else thinks

Honestly, we're not even telling my MIL. She doesn't acknowledge me as part of the family even though I've been with my husband for 5 1/2 years and we already have a son together. She didn't come to our wedding, or visit after the birth of our son until this past January and he turned 2 in April. Never mind the fact that she's the first one to suggest "cutting this out of your diet" or "you should really use this brand" or "you should really clean this this way". My husband was actually the one who suggested not including her until she starts including me (not that I said anything to the contrary...)
