which week is best for gestational diabetes test?

Hello,
I am currently 21 weeks and my doctors office has a walk in lab so my OB said i could go in anytime between 24-28 weeks for the GD test. I am of course super eager to know so inclined to go right at 24, but is it bad to go that early? will it be less accurate? wondering if any of you knew more about this.

You can go in at anytime. Doesn’t matter which week, it will still be accurate.

With both pregnancies I was about 28 weeks but that’s just how my appointments fell.

I'm not sure how it works.. I've wondered if going in ealier would have made a difference for me, as I was just above the limit! I was literally at the number where they say "Okay, you have GD"..
We do our tests a bit later here in my country. Not sure why 🤔 So mine was done at 28 weeks.

Being high risk for GD I had one Around 18 weeks and will have another at 28 weeks.
I had the same thing last time also.
Everything negative so far!
