Girls I need some advice,

So me and one of my friends ( who is a boy) have been getting a lot closer recently and I have been going to his house most days and hugging and being very flirty with him as he has been flirting with me too and he says that he thinks we will be a thing and that he has feelings for me but tonight over FaceTime he said that we are just friends that flirt and that he flirts with literally everyone at school but they don’t go around his house and they haven’t met his family and they don’t FaceTime him every night so I have no clue what’s going on

One minute he likes me and wants to be with me however the other he doesn’t care about how I feel and said that he would get another girl

I just feel used because I really like him and I have liked him for 3 years as we have been friends for that long but now I feel like he’s being very off with me and then he’s all over me

It’s all just mixed signals and I have no clue what to do
