Am I feeding 8 mo old enough?

Question

So I breast feed her throughout the night, again when we nap together twice a day.  Other than that, I feed her baby food purée in the morning, and another in the evening.  She only has one tooth so I can’t give her “food food” yet.  Is this enough?

My daughter is strictly breastfed. She’ll take a small bite of whatever we’re eating but otherwise absolutely no foods. She refuses bottles and food period. But food before one is just for fun. Her doctor nor me are worried about her eating solids. She’s perfectly healthy. 😊

Babies don’t need teeth to eat soft table food, their gums are hard and good at chewing! We breastfed or do milk from a cup probably 4-5 times during the day (excluding prior to naps). And three “meals” (he doesn’t eat much) per day. I am also unfortunately breastfeeding during the night several times 😫 this is the schedule that works for my LO!

My son gets soft carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, peas, cooked beans, banana, eggs, ground meats, rib bone with meat on it  pretty much whatever is on my plate and is soft he can have. They don’t need teeth to chew soft foods but they do need to start eating a variety of foods.

My baby has only o e teeth and eats super good!!!... im giving her only two meals a day.. daytime yogurt with fruits or veggies and at night time I just started with chicken and turkey with little pasta stars.. she loved it.

My husband had the same thoughts around only having real food once teeth come in. I told him my grandpa has no teeth and eats just fine! In any case, they find a way :) they aren't going to be chomping on fresh carrots, but you can give them softer foods, meats, etc

Our son drinks ~30 oz of breast milk/formula a day. He eats REALLY good at breakfast (i.e. 1/2-3/4c. yogurt and an entire banana), we're just adding in a solid food lunch, and then he eats whatever we're having for dinner (he usually eats 4-8oz of solids at dinner). We serve him water in a sippy cup at all meals and throughout the day (he doesn't drink much yet but just letting him learn/get used to it). His eating schedule is typically:
7:30am-bottle
8:30am-breakfast
11:30am-bottle
12:30-lunch
3:30-bottle
5:30-dinner
7:30-bottle

Sometimes I don’t even feed my boy purée just bottles and my boy was eating the baby Cheetos and puffs since 5 months he just crunch it with his gums and every with all his front teeth being in he still crunches it with his gums in the back lol

My baby doesn’t have teeth but still eats pretty much everything we do. Gums are very strong and as long as they can chew and swallow then it’s fine. My daughter lives green beans and pancakes.
