So I just bought myself a beautiful 1 ct solitaire moissanite ring because I’ve been wanting it forever. It just came in the mail and now my boyfriend (whom I’ve been with for nearly five years and live together with) is saying “you better not make that look like a wedding ring. We aren’t married. “ it kind of hurt me and pissed me off. It’s on the right hand anyways and I’m not trying to make it look like we are married. I just actually love this ring. He said “well not everyone will think that way” alright bud👍🏼 am I wrong for feeling hurt that he’d even say that?

I’d also like to add that he had previously gotten me a promise ring with a large center stone that was also mistaken as an engagement ring. I don’t understand the issue at hand.
