Do any of you have bad cutting scars

I'm just wondering because I have really bad ones from one time I really wanted to die and now years later, I feel sad when I look at them because it reminds me how horribly sad I was and hurting so much. Sometimes I worry about what others think of my scars...

I have them all up and down my arms, legs, and stomach. I wear whatever I want. The way I see it, they're reminders of a bad time but they symbolize that I got through it and made it out and got past that time of my life. They remind me of my strength for getting past that. And if anyone has anything negative to say, I ignore them. I don't allow negative people in my life that pass judgement for my scars. And yes there will always be people that judge you but keep in mind they may not understand the struggle that all of us have been through.

I also have some pretty bad ones on the inside of my thighs and on my ankles. Don't be ashamed or embarrassed because of these. I've dealt with depression and anxiety my entire life was hospitalized for 16 days when I was 14 because of it. It saved my life. I would do it to feel some other type of pain other than what I was feeling at that moment. Or just to know that I was still alive. Get help if you need it, and don't be embarrassed. Even still six years later I cut here and there but I haven't in almost a whole year. These scars ARE NOT a sign of weakness. They are beautiful and they make you who you are. They tell stories. Some bad some with good outcomes. I'm sorry for whatever you're going through. But trust me when I say they are nothing to be embarrassed about. Yeah people may stare but that's only because they don't understand. I'm going to pray for you and anyone else going through this.

I don't but i just wanted to say that i would never judge anyone i saw in public with cutting scars. You shouldn't worry about what other people will think; it's your life, not theirs.

My best friend felt the same about hers. She got a tattoo covering them. The tattoo is a reminder that she is strong enough to move on and is truly beautiful. With them being covered by the beautiful tattoo she is able to choose who and when she shares that difficult part of her life with people.

I do. And I don't look at it as a sad memory I look at it as something I over came., and that makes me proud of myself for moving on from the bad times in my life. Yes some people will look at you weird for the scars but what other people think does not matter. All that matters is that it was the past and you moved on from a bad time in your life. That's how you should look at it

I have scars on my right arm from when I was 14/15 and really depressed.  I don't get sad when I look at them per se, but I do get sad when I think back at how sad I WAS. No child or teenager should be sad.  It's supposed to be the most carefree years of your life! Anyway, now I just get really self conscious of those scars and try to keep that arm out of the spotlight.  ...😅

Mine are very noticeable on my forearm but I've never noticed anyone looking. It's embarrassing and I'm very ashamed of them. I plan on getting a tattoo to cover them up.

I do. My thigh has a ton of scars, and my stomach has hundreds (which you can't really see as they are covered in cuts).

Hey I do have scars all over my hands and I have scars all over my arms that spell out useless. I was in and out of hospitals and councillors but now I look back at how strong I was to overcome it. Now I look at them as fighter scars and so should you! X

These are my scars from 4 years ago when I was 15 years old. The ones on my forearm are very faded but we're the worst of all my cuts.
