Dead beat baby daddies

Ok so I don’t know if this is even the right group to put it in but here goes;

Anyone from the United Kingdom I need help.

My baby is 5 months old, his dad has only seen him 3 times since he was born. Never bought him anything, never provided any money for him, never texts or phones to ask how he is etc etc you get the jist he don’t care 🤦‍♀️ anyway so I find out about a month ago that at the grand age he is he has just got his own house? Now I am absolutely petrified he is going to try and take my son off me! I think about it all day everyday, gives me such bad anxiety. I just don’t know what to do! I don’t know whether to speak to a solicitor or just ignore it and hope it’s all in my head? 😭
