When is everyone going on maternity leave? My original plan was to work up until baby was born because I don’t have any paid leave. I will receive 12 weeks of unpaid leave but not intending to return. I’m now 34+3. Around 32 weeks I started getting really bad sciatic pain and requested to be on light duty. It has improved but I’m still trying to take it easy. Now my manager is making comments about how I “think I can’t do anything” since being pregnant. I should add I work in an operating room on my feet all day without access to water except in between surgeries and on my breaks. I want to keep working for financial reasons but also am considering going early for mine and baby’s health.
