Measuring Question?

So when the doctor measures your belly, should the number be close to how many weeks you are? 
Last time my doctor said it was 30 and I’m 32 weeks, didn’t know if that meant I was measuring small or what. She didn’t say anything else about it so I assumed it’s not a concerned but just curious what the number actually means or why they do it.

At 25 weeks I measured 23 weeks. Now at 34 weeks I measured 35 weeks. So you should be within a 2-3cm range is what my doctor told me. So you should be fine. It also depends on who measures you, and baby’s position in the womb. I noticed that different doctors measure differently as well.

My dr has never bothered to do this.  I’ve heard it doesn’t indicate much?

Yes your fundal height should mimic the amout of qeeks you are.

I measured 31 today when I’m 32 and I think it’s just cause baby’s head is really far down there and it’s still a normal measurement within 2cm

They allow a 2 cm range on either side. So at 30 weeks you should be between 28 to 32 cm

I can’t remember exactly but it’s just how many Cm you are, not how many weeks you are. You can just ask them if that’s normal (they should be telling you anyway). You can google it for now :) x
