14 really close to 15. Non virgin. What would be the best birth control for me to have when I go to tell my mom that I want to be put on birth control.

I would suggest to educate yourself on the different birth controls before you take other people's advice. After you've done that then you should piece together which ones would be best for you. I've heard a lot of people say the depo shot is horrible. I am getting on the patch. (I've never been on birth control before) I've heard a lot of great things about the implant & the pill.

I have the implanon and it works good. I reccomend it but I did my research on it and found it fit best for me. Do your research and see what you think might work better for you

I've used the shot. I currently am using it. It's a good thing to know that all birth controls affect people differently. The side effects are more general than a "this will happen to everyone." For example, on the shot they say you will gain weight and get acne. I actually lost 10 pounds after starting. Not every one person is the same. You need to find out what works for you. Also, I always had horrible cramping and medicine never did anything to help. So this is why it was recommended to me to get the shot. I never have a period and so I never get cramps. Granted once I get off of it, I will get them again. But in the meantime I don't have to spend an entire day in bed because of terrible cramping (it was that bad, no joke).

Any suggestions?
