12 month old taking long to fall asleep
My 12 month old has been pretty consistent with her sleep routines until she hits a regression. Ever since she turned one, it’s been taking her about an hour to fall asleep at night. I don’t know if I should just keep on with her schedule to see if it’s a regression and will pass or if it means it may be time for some changes.
Currently I wake her at 8am, she naps from 10:30am-12:30pm (I wake her at 2 hours) and then she naps again from 3:30-4:30pm. Bed time is 8:30pm. I put her down around 8:20pm. She spends the rest of the time walking around, talking etc until about 9:30pm when she finally passes out.
I try to make sure her last nap does not go later than 5pm so she is awake at least 3 hours before bedtime.
She does on occasion wake up once or twice at night but will self soothe and fall back asleep on her own unless she can’t find her pacifier or is teething badly.
