At how many weeks do they stop doing ultrasounds?

Had my 12 weeks sonogram yesterday and i was told this was going to be my last ultrasound so far i have only had 2 ultrasounds with this pregnancy, but with my first it was so different i had a couple sonograms so im confused!?

In a healthy, low risk pregnancy you will usually have two; a 12 week one and a 20 week anatomy scan. Occasionally you will get one before 12 weeks also if they deem an early dating scan is required.
My pregnancy is high risk, and I have ultrasounds booked every 4 weeks until I deliver though. I’d trade them for a low risk healthy pregnancy if I could.

At my doctors office there are 3 scheduled ultrasounds. One at 8 weeks for dating. Second at 20 weeks for anatomy. Third at 36 weeks for growth. There is also an optional one at around 13 weeks for nuchal translucency.

That’s actually odd.  They should be doing one at about the 20 week mark as an anatomy scan to make sure the organs are growing properly.
