When is the right time to introduce....

So if your SO just so happens to past away when is the right time to introduce your new girlfriend/boyfriend to your kids?  
Age:7, 16 also 18

I don't want to sound rude. But honestly there is no right time. I'm just speaking from experience. Obviously if you two are serious then you can introduce them whenever, however I would make sure you two are really serious.. I say this because it's a very difficult adjustment. And each time they have to meet someone new it will be difficult, if that makes sense. I was 3 years older than my brother, I was always a little more accepting of my parents new boyfriends/girlfriends than he was. He wasn't having it haha it still doesn't like it and he's 18 now. Just take things slow, don't try to force him on them. My dad would do that, it's very awkward and uncomfortable. I'm sure everything will be fine, it's just an adjustment everyone has to make. It's very hard on the kids, but you also need to be happy. The older ones may understand that more than the younger ones. If you two are truly serious and he wants to meet your kids (and they want to meet him) then go for it. You can try talking to them about it to see how they feel, if you haven't already

It is never going to be easy but the 18 year old should at least know you're dating again pretty immediately. Maybe ask the kids when they want to meet your new partner. Just make sure you're serious and have a future together
