My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and we haven’t really had any deep conversations about the future (only mentioned once about moving in together next year) but that’s all, should we have talked about other things? Like kids ect

If you want those things and are wondering if he does too I would. There is no pressure to have to talk about those things, but if you do not want to waste your time with someone who perhaps, for example, doesn’t want kids and you do.

You might want to discuss those things before moving in together, but there really is no right or wrong time to discuss as it’s so personal and dependent on your specific relationship.

Depends on your age, and how serious this relationship is. If over the age of 25 I’d say a for sure yes you should have talked about the future. 20-25 is a grey area, and under 20 is a probably not because it may or may not be super serious, marriage, kids, etc. ready to be planning.
