Advice! Pregnant or miscarriage?
A little background first, we tried for 8 months to get pregnant with our first, believed I was 10 weeks at my first ultrasound and dates came back 6w5d. Carried on to have a normal successful pregnancy and delivery with a bicornuate uterus.
Just recently found out I was pregnant with baby #2 after 5 months of trying, period was due on March 14, and got a vvvvfl on the 18th and 19th but had spotting turn into bleeding on the 20th (nothing more than a period and some small clots.) I decided to wait until the bleeding stopped to test again, to confirm if I had lost it, but got a stronger positive when the bleeding had subsided on the 23rd.
Decided to go to the ER and they did bloodwork and told me to come back in 2 days for bloodwork and an ultrasound and then follow up back in the ER.
The ultrasound tech said that we wouldn’t see anything on the ultrasound because it was too early, and my hCG was far too low. The levels were 46. Went back to emerg and the doc on said that there was no sac so I wasn’t pregnant and that my levels were very low and said they were 46, but couldn’t tell me if it was higher or lower than my previous bloodwork. I feel like he read the levels from my initial blood work??? Then tells me to expect a period in the next couple days, based on the thickness of my uterine lining.
Few days pass, but I’m still not convinced I’m not pregnant, so I take another test on the 27th, and it was a very strong positive! I’ve been spotting the last couple days but it’s only when I wipe. Took another test yesterday and still very positive.
Called my family doctor to make a doctors appointment but can’t get in until April 15th but I think I am going to lose my mind before then.
I understand it can take time for hCG levels to drop, but if my levels were only 46 when the ER doctor seems to think I miscarried, shouldn’t the tests be showing lighter and lighter??

Is there a possibility that I could be still pregnant and ovulated late again? Or am I just dragging this out so I can see that negative?
