So I had just started taking birth control on the 21st, which was the first day of my cycle. I did as the doctor said, which was to start the pill the first day of my period. Ever since, I’ve had major mood swings, a heavier and longer flow than usual, and lots of nausea and cramps. Finally it felt like my pains were subsiding, and by midnight of the 24th, my period completely stopped. It went from a medium flow to nothing. I thought thank God, and I immediately felt better.

The next day, I went all day without a single spot of blood and I thought everything was fine. But at exactly 5pm, I started bleeding heavily and having really bad cramps like it was the first day of my period all over again.

My bleeding went on until late at night, and by morning I wasn’t bleeding anymore. So from Tuesday until this Saturday morning, I haven’t been bleeding but I do have brown discharge which I used to get for only one day after my period before taking the pill, but I’ve had it for 5 days now.

Here’s the point of the post, I thought maybe some background would help figure out my situation.

It’s Saturday night, my boyfriend and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary, and of course we wanted to have sex and to be safe we used a condom. Mostly because I still had some brown discharge. But in the middle of having some pretty rough sex, my bf points out that I’m bleeding. I go to check, and I didn’t have any pain when we were doing it, and I find bright red blood that’s very thin. So we stop just to be safe. But then I start getting cramps and now I believe I have my period AGAIN!! Has anyone ever had this or something similar happen to them? Should I see my gynecologist immediately? Idk what’s going on but I’m tired of bleeding.
