I'm an atheist. I have never been a Christian. Although I wasn't always an atheist.

I'm sure there are plenty of people on this app that are religious but not Christian.

I never see any of those people using their God or diety or beliefs to shame or try to win an argument.

If it happens it must be very rare.

However, I feel like every thread has at least one self proclaimed Christian on there spouting off their Bible verses and words of God. They're almost always using it to condemn the poster or shame another commentator.

First off as an atheist and even as a non Christian none of that matters to me. I literally don't believe any of it. You might as well be quoting your notes from your therapy sessions at me. Plus why do they assume that everyone on here is Christian?

Second, I know enough that Christ taught tolerance and empathy, so when you use him as a shield for hatred and bigotry all I see is a bad person that hides behind religion like a shield... Someone that can't think for themselves and just repeats things they've been told.
