I chose to as well. Babies can’t get it until 2 months so they need your antibodies to be protected. Whooping cough in small babies is very scary.

Here they recommend anyone who sees and holds the baby regularly to have it. Neither my parents, nor my husbands parents or our brothers will be allowed to meet my son until they have it. There was a breakout of whooping cough in a city nearby just recently, I'm not risking my child's life. However, I was told by a public health nurse at my hospital that if you've had a tetanus shot within the last ten years then you got the pertussis booster. They combine them to help ensure more people are vaccinated since it's one that a lot of people don't keep up with.

Protect yourself and your kid. If the doctor says it’s safe to get while pregnant, then get it. You don’t want your newborn baby to be susceptible.

Yes because I had twin babies in the winter during the sick season and I wouldn’t dare risk getting my previous babies sick.

I got a booster (I’m only 20, so I probably would have been fine due to the one I got in high school). But it’s mandatory here! If you’re pregnant you have to get it. 
However, it’s advised, but not mandatory, that anyone who wants to meet baby when they’re first born get the booster as well. 
My family have all went and got the booster and I’ve told anyone who wants to meet bub during her first few weeks that they’ll have to get one too.
I’m not risking anything with my little babe! Better safe than sorry!

I decline. That is not tested on pregnant women. There are literally ZERO studies on how those toxins react with a growing baby. Google it. No studies. Not an anti vaccine comment just my opinion.
