16 week appt?

So I go in today for my 16 wk appointment and their office never tells me what will happen beforehand~ is there any chance I'll be able to get an ultrasound/gender peek? I haven't had an ultrasound since my first at 10 weeks exactly.

I have one almost every appointment. I think it depends on your dr.

Its most likely just a check up. My doctor did my ultrasound at 9 and a half week and i will be getting my last one at 20 weeks to find it the gender

My 16 week appointment was really short and it was just them listening to the heartbeat and making sure I am doing ok or have any questions and that was it. My US is my next appt at 20 weeks.

Usually they don’t do another ultrasound until 20 weeks. My OB offers elective ultrasounds that you can pay for to find out the gender beforehand or go somewhere else for an elective ultrasound. Usually at the 16 week appointment it’s short and sweet, usually test your urine to make sure no UTI’s or infections, listen to baby’s heartbeat with a Doppler, answer any questions you have and then you’re done.

I had my 16 week appointment last week and I didn’t get an ultrasound. They just did a urine test, took my weight and blood pressure, checked the baby’s heart rate with a Doppler, and did a blood test for Spina Bifida (I think). 
My next ultrasound is going to be at 20 weeks for the anatomy scan.

I always ask what will be done at the appointment when making it. I had to schedule a 16 week ultrasound myself and it cost extra.
