How do you know if you are leaking amniotic fluid?

This is my third pregnancy. I sneeze and I wet my pants a little...I've gotten used to that unfortunate experience...however, just now I was stepping over something and felt a little something come out. Then I sat down and a little more came out. How do I know if it's incontinence or my water leaking?

If your water breaks, it has a very distinct smell. I'm not entirely sure how to describe it other than a musky smell, not similar to urine. It is also pretty slippery. Mine broke in the bathtub with my first. I, however, felt a gush when I laid back in the tub. I got out, sat on the toilet, and some kept coming out. If you think your water may be leaking, go to the doc. They can do a quick test to tell. Good luck.

I was told to lay down for a little while and stand up to see if you "fill up." If you stand up and more pours out chances are it is amniotic fluid, if nothing comes out when you stand then it was just some pee or discharge.

Probably just pee. If I sit down I have a little bit of the same problem been this way for a month or so.

I went because I thought mine was leaking I would get random gushes of course they tested me but she knew right away I wasn't leaking. She said if it is even the tiniest leak your underwear would constantly be soaked
