What’s a good age gap for siblings?

Have one now. (Newborn) but know i want more. For you parents out there with more than one child. How many years would you wait to have another? Want them close in age but not too much bc i hear it can be extremely exhausting. Thoughts?

My two are almost 8 years apart(almost 8 and a newborn). I’m done after these two lol but my first wasn’t planned, she was a birth control baby I had very young. This little one was planned with my husband(not my first daughters father).

My first two are 22 months apart. Having two in diapers was a bit of a nightmare but we got through it and they are super close and played a lot together so that part is great. They are now 15 and 13 and drive each other crazy (the oldest is a girl and the other is a boy) but will do anything for each other. Just found out I’m pregnant again so now there’s going to be a 14 year gap between the youngest and the new baby... yikes!!!

I have a son that’s 13 and a daughter that’s 11 it’s definitely easier to do 2 back to back vs waiting.

My two daughters will be 3 years and 7 months apart. Honestly I think my toddler daughter is way more understanding of what’s going on and is so helpful and gentle than my 2 year old nephew who’s going to be a big brother in 3 months (my SIL and I are pregnant together, she’s 7 weeks behind me). I think my daughter will be very helpful when the new baby comes.

From a medical standpoint the best time to get pregnant again is 18-24 months after giving birth. Which would result in a 2.5 year age gap (give or take a few months) 
My boys are 1.5 years apart which I love, but it definitely is challenging. 2.5 years seems like it would be more manageable while still being close in age

I have a three y/o and a 5 month old (just under 3 years apart). And I personally think this is the perfect gap. My older is so helpful, and he loves his baby brother to pieces.

My girls are 16 months apart and while it was exhausting in the beginning, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.  My youngest is almost one year old and it is definitely getting easier.  Definitely talk to your doctor beforehand though.  I had gotten pregnant with my third and she would have been 17 months younger than my second but my body could not handle a third so close together and the doctor had given me that warning but our birth control pills failed.

My first two are 13 months apart and honestly I love how close they are even though in the beginning I thought I was going to loose my mind! My 2nd and 3rd will be about 2.5 years apart and it feels weird since we are finally out of the baby stage just to be jumping head first right back into it lol

I don't know what will be ideal but my girls will be 16 months apart and I'm terrified lol
