Its a sexual act but I wouldn't call it sex.

I would still consider you a virgin but it's still sex just in a different form because even oral sex puts you at risk for sti's 

I've done oral sex, and while some consider that to count, I don't. For me personally, when a penis penetrates my vagina, I won't be a virgin. But that's not fair to say about homosexual couples. Really, it's all about what YOU think, and what you're comfortable with, as well as what your partner considers being/not being a virgin is. 

It is sex, it's just a different form. Hence the name ORAL sex. But losing your virginity is a totally different story

I think it should be considered sex. It's a sexual act that you need to express consent for. If there was no consent, pretty sure people would not be saying that 'it's ok, it's not sex'.  Oral sex is not intercourse. That's the only difference.
