Trick to get baby to walk

So just thought I’d share this. My son just turned 15 months old but has been walking with assistance since 10-12 months. He would push things, stand straight up from the floor, but would not walk unless holding on or pushing something. He would walk all around my house as long as he could hold my finger: I wasn’t helping him physically any, just emotionally I guess. So last week my husband suggested we give him a wooden spoon and start out holding the other end and when he starts walking let go. The kid is walking everywhere now.
