Hey ladies, does anyone have an only child that seems to be misbehaving after finding out they are getting a sibling? My four year old says she’s excited about having a sibling but only if it’s a girl. She throws a complete fit when we bring up the possibility of it being a boy. She’s been acting out at daycare so much lately that they have created a journal to write down all of her issues for us to discuss when we get home at night. This is all completely out of character for her, she’s usually the teachers pet and helps with everything.

We haven’t wanted to find out the gender until the baby is born but her school seems to think it would be best to find out early and get her involved in everything related to the baby now.

What do y’all think, do you think she would actually benefit from it or that she’s a four year old and they just have bad days sometimes.
