Birth control

I need some recommendations on birth control that lightens/shortens periods. I have had the nuva-ring and I didn’t like it very much. The implanon, my body responded horribly to that and I’m trying the depo out but so far I’ve done nothing but spot and I don’t like that. My body seems to hate birth control but not being on it is out of the question. IUD scares me so none of those please.

Really just looking for pros and cons on different types of the pill.
