Can I give benadryl to my 21 month old to dry up his runny nose?

Anyone here saying yes is spreading dangerous medical misinformation. It literally says on the warnings not to give to children under 2. Even when you Google it, it says not to do it unless a doctor told you to. It's not worth hurting your child to relieve a stuffy nose. Run a hot shower and let him sit in the bathroom, get a humidifier, use baby chest rubs, get a nose freida. There are many options that are safe.

I ended up calling the pediatrician and they said it was fine. He already takes zyrtec daily for allergies. Obviously I didn't give him the zyrtec and benadryl.  We're in FL and the pollen is crazy lately.

No, it's not safe. And unless it's definitely allergy related, it wouldn't work anyway. It's an antihistamine.

No. Not unless a doctor prescribes it. It says on the box not for kids under six. 
Our daughter has a prescription for it but that’s the only reason we use it. Because we have consulted medical specialists who have deemed the pros to outweigh the cons in our daughters case.
