Second cut csection?? 😣

I have a schedule csection. It would be my second one so I asked my doctor if they would open my first wound and he says probably NO because my scar is too low and they usually don’t operate like that. I was like what???? I never heard of that in my life.. been looking online everywhere and i dont see anyone having a second cut csection just because the dr says so. I am 100% not ok with that why would i want a second cut if I already have one?? But i dont know what to do. Is not like i can change Drs at this point 🤦🏻‍♀️ i am mortified. Anyone has gone through something like this? Or what should I do?

In general doctors don't cut on a previous scar. It's a matter of healing...

My dr cuts in same area but not right over the previous scar tissue cause then it's harder to reopen that same scar and the blade can get stuck and open you even more then what needs to be done. I've had 4 c-sections and the same dr with all 4 of my babys he cuts in the same area but not the same scar. Its right above or right under the previous scar. He does such a great job at stitching me up. Its always on my bikini line so its never noticeable.

I've had 2 sections and a hysterectomy all on the same cut. Never heard about having 2 different cuts. Definitely get a 2nd opinion.

Can you try for a VBAC? You could consider a midwife.. I would find a new doctor.
