I love the name Valentina but my husband thinks it weird to name her that becuase we aren’t Italian. Do you think it would be weird?

I like the name but I’m Mexican... it’s a fairly common name in Spanish too so it wouldn’t be unusual for me. I don’t think it’s a problem to name your kid a name that’s not common to your ethnicity (think about all the Aidens out there, they certainly aren’t all Irish!) but i do think you might encounter some questions as to how you picked the name. Simple answer: “we liked it!”

No, I’ve met people with that name and only 1 of them was actually Italian. 🤷‍♀️ If you like that name, go for it.. it’s beautiful!
