New peanut allergy?

Question

Has anyone else developed an allergy during pregnancy they didn’t previously have? I am allergic to hazelnuts but never had a problem with peanuts. Just had a pb&j and my mouth and throat are itchy and swelling like with my other food allergies. Took a Benadryl and I’m sure I’ll be fine, but was just wondering if this happens and if it goes away afterwards? Google isn’t being very helpful.

Yup, I’ve been allergic to shrimp since I was 24, but now at 32 I’m allergic to Strawberries, and Blueberries, it’s this babies fault lol.

I did with my first. I became allergic to latex during pregnancy only. It went away after giving birth. I also lost my allergy to grass pollen during that pregnancy but it came back the next season when I was t pregnant. Weird stuff.

New allergies can rise at any point in time. I went 19 years without being allergic to cinnamon and then all of a sudden last year I developed an extreme cinnamon allergy.

I used to be allergic to a lot of different things but during my first pregnancy I became allergic to milk, which wasn’t an issue before, and am no longer allergic to anything else even 8 1/2 years later.

No but i work with a girl who developed a peanut allergy overnight. It was pregnancy related or anything. She was devastated because she loves peanut butter and one day she just had an anaphylactic reaction to it. She cant even have food that has been sitting next items with peanuts. Its crazy how allergies can just pop up like that
