My daughter is 1 week old tomorrow, and I’m really wanting to persevere with breastfeeding but my nipples are so sore because we just can’t master the latch. Every time the midwife would latch her in the hospital she’d do it first time but I feel like I cannot get her to open her mouth wide enough for the latch to be right. So it’s hurting to feed. I’m using nipple shields which has helped a bit, but would like to master the latch! Any advise much appreciated!!
