Alright so I have a problem, both my mother and my husband's 2 sisters have already been planning and thinking about the baby shower (mind you we don't even know if it's a boy or girl yet, and we won't find out for another month). I'm getting annoyed that they have already been semi planning without consulting us first and we haven't even said who's planning it.

The problem is his family is obsessive and controlling when it comes to planning stuff. This is my mother's first grandchild, so it's important to me and her that she's involved. His sisters both have children, and his 3rd sister just had a son where one if not both of the sisters that I'm talking about threw the baby shower (hope that made sense). If they are all involved, then i feel like its going to become too overwhelming, and my mom will pull out and keep her distance because that's how she is. I'm super emotional of course so i don't know how to handle it. I normally talk to my mom about stuff like this but i can't because she'll say "well dont worry about it, I wont get involved" when I know she wants to be. Am I overexaggerating? Did anyone else have this problem? How did you handle it?
