I am currently 30 weeks with our first. We are expecting a girl in June. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE has been asking when my shower is. I have told everyone (very politely) that I prefer to not have a shower. Everyone gives me grief for this and says "too bad you are getting one anyway." I really prefer to buy the things we need ourselves. I just dont love the idea of everyone spending their money on gifts. We have bought what we have so far ourselves and are more than capable of purchasing the rest. Am I wrong to be uncomfortable with the idea of a shower? Plus I am just not one who loves being in the spotlight. I really feel I would be very uncomfortable with the whole idea. Everyone tells me I am wrong to feel this way.
