When is the best time to have kids ?

Question

I feel like you will never be ready for a kid. Do you save for kids? Do you buy a house first? 
So I am interested to hear what you guys have to say?

My personal checklist was 
Be financially stable 
Be married for a couple years (and have a stable, healthy relationship)
Own a house
Have good health insurance 
Done some traveling
Have x amount in savings 
Now that my checklist is complete, I'm waiting on my husband to be ready as well

I waited til I had a stable job, was married (not important to some but was for me), with 100% covered health insurance.

You'll never be ready, I feel like we did OK but I wish I hadve started earlier, I waited till we had a house and stable good jobs, we paid down our consumer debt, but still have no savings, but I'm almost 29 and hubby is already 32 with Grey hairs

You may not ever be 100% prepared to have a baby, but you can at least be financially stable and have a stable environment for your child. I think whether you have children or not it’s very important to have money saved up because you never know what might happen

They say it’s never the right time.
I was married; had a good job, husband was just abt to start his after school and we lived in rental accomodation.
Time was really not right but we made it work. Hubby got job, struggled to get a good one.
Later we bought a house and had our second child.
You need to think about childcare / maternity leave. Need to cover it. But everything else works out well

I waited until I was married, financially secure and had a house. But, I know plenty of women who did think differently and they have well adjusted, beautiful, children.

We waited until my husbands promotion and we were more financially ready. We never struggled before hand, but didn't want things to be tight after having a baby either.

It’s different for everyone. We waited until we had a certain amount saved up and we both had secure jobs with benefits. Marriage and house ownership wasn’t important for us. We had intense baby fever for a couple years but it was worth it, gave us plenty of time to sort out names and talk about parenting styles.
