So three years ago i had a miscarriage which resulted in a D&C. One month later i had to have a second D&C because they didn’t get it all the first time. During the second one my uterus was perforated and i was bleeding internally. The day after my second D&C i went in again for a uterine repair. My husband and I have been unable to get pregnant since. My OB/GYN now wants to do an exploratory laparotomy to see if I have any scar tissue or adhesions that are preventing pregnancy. My question is has anyone been through this? I had blood work and an ultrasound done which have all come back normal. I have two children from a previous marriage but my husband has no biological children (he loves mine as his own, they call him daddy). But we so desperately want to expand our family. it makes me so sad that this has become such an issue and I can’t help but wondering if my trauma did something to prevent us from having a baby.
