When did you dilate?

Just wondering because I went in for my 34 weeks check-up today & my doctor told me that my cervix is closed. Is that normal?

Yes that's completely normal your not suppose to start dilating until after 37 weeks that when the baby is considered full term.

When I was in labor at 39+4 days

I reached 40 weeks & my cervix was still closed. I'm 41 weeks now & get checked again tmro to see if I've progressed at all.

I didn't dilate at all even after I was over due and in the hospital being induced for 6 hours  lol.

I have been at 1 cm dilated, 50% effaced since 36 weeks, currently 39 weeks. Go in tomorrow to see if I have gotten anywhere

I was 0 dilated and 75% effaced at my 36 week appointment.

I started dialating at 36 weeks. I was 2 centimeters 60% effaced and by 38 weeks I was 4 centimeters 80% effaced. But from talking with most my friends...dialating before is not common. I was a teacher and ALWAYS on my feet for 12+ hours everyday so I really think that had something to do with it.
