Yesterday I got my very first (and second) BFP! I'm so incredibly excited! But, as this is my first pregnancy I'm also sort of nervous. I called my OBGYN today to make an appointment and the nurse told me that they wait until you're 9-10 weeks before they'll see patients. My appointment isn't until October 27th. So is that when I'll know the due date? I'm really anxious to at least have a tentative due date. It just seems like such a long wait!

I was also wondering if anyone had any recommended books to read? I bought What to Expect yesterday when I found out, but I've had two people tell me it's "scary". Are there any good alternatives?
