Black flecks in poop??

Sorry in advance, but I’m a little worried with my babies stool. It looks runny and theres black spots in it. Should I take him to the ER ?? The doctors are closed for the night and im unsure if its possibly blood. He is 11 weeks old and strictly formula fed.

The black specs are black mucus which is blood. My son had the same exact issue which turned out to be a milk protein intolerance. We switched to an amino acid formula per our GI dr and now he’s fine and the black mucus is gone. It took 2 weeks for it to disappear. Call your pediatrician about it but you don’t need to go to an ER or urgent care unless they’re exhibiting signs that they’re in distress/pain.

I got told that black bits in poop were blood (LO got her lip & tongue snipped and swallowed some blood so midwife prewarned me). Has your LO possibly swallowed blood?? If so, then nothing to worry about xx
