Gum recession at 37 weeks?

Question

Anyone else had gum recession during pregnancy? I just discovered the gum on one of my tooth has started to recede. No inflammation or pain or anything but at that point Im not even sure I should wait after baby arrives to pay the dentist a visit. I mean my gums are more likely to bleed when I floss since I'm pregnant but that's it. 😕

I work at a dentist office and best advice is to go after you had baby, since you are close to delivery, and so they can take xray's and such. Pregnancy related gingivitis is a thing and that's why your gums are bleeding. Be sure to get a cleaning after baby aswell! For the gum  Recession try a non abrasive like Tom's of Maine with fluoride but consult your doctor after pregnancy.

I had a gum graft done a couple years ago that this pregnancy has totally destroyed. It takes a while before you have to worry about any real damage or serious pain usually. Just brush gently and if you do start getting sore gargling sea salt helps! I'll have my graft redone after I give birth. It's a painful procedure I neded serious pain meds for last time and couldnt eat solids for a couple weeks.
