Is it okay for me to not let anyone that is unvaccinated be around my newborn baby? I don’t want my baby to get sick!

I fully intend to do the same. Either have gotten your shots 2 weeks prior to visiting(so its had time to work) along with not being sick. Or your not sering my baby. Im due nov, so no flu shot no visit.

That’s totally your call. I asked that everyone who wanted to visit got the whooping cough vaccine. Did everyone do it? No. So you just have to know even if you ask some may not do it and you have to stand your ground or give in. So just know you may have to make that choice even if you ask. I stood my ground until baby was 5 months.

That is beyond okay, and super smart of you! Babies are extremely extremely prone to get diseases and illnesses until they are 6 months and able to get all their shots.  You can never be too careful!

I'm requiring vaccination for being around my child. We're barring my brother in law from being around baby in large part because he refuses to get the vaccine even tho his mum would pay for it. It's not worth it. I'm not worried about socialization because baby will be around plenty of vaccinated children at daycare, I work daycare, and once baby is old enough to be vaccinated he or she will go to synogogue at least once a week to start the learning required for a bar/bat mitzvah. If there's a Hebrew/ Jewish religious school in town he intend to enroll our child there as well. You're the parent. If you say you're not willing to put your child at risk, others need a respect it
