Not telling people your pregnant?

Hello, I am 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant with my 2nd. Two months before this pregnancy I had an etopic pregnancy and had surgery.  So now that I am pregnant again and everything seems to be going good my husband and I decided not to tell people we are expecting again just in case something happens.. I am torn! I feel like I am lying to people, I am having all day sickness and have been staying home a lot more then normal. I  afraid my friends and family are going to be mad when we finally start telling people after 12 weeks.. I would like to know your thoughts?

I did the same exact thing. But I waited until I was showing (20 weeks) to say anything

I'm waiting to make it public till 12 weeks. I think people would understand.

You shouldn't be worried of how people are going to feel. It's your experience you decide when it's the right time & when ur comfortable to announce it.

We waited till 11weeks when my nurse practitioner said she sees us carrying the baby to term without a problem. We told all of our family and close friends. 2 days later we lost the baby. We knew we weren't "in the clear" yet but we told ppl anyway. 
This time we waited a couple days and decided we weren't going to be afraid. We don't live near our family and friends anymore so we needed o be able to tell someone.  I called and told my sister and a couple friends but we are going to wait till we are in our 2nd to tell everyone. 
I do remember when old my dad we were thinking of waiting, he said that it was good I didn't because I could hurt some peoples feelings. I remember think "I could care less about others feelings this is MY news my life changing event".
No matter what it is all up to you and how comfortable you feel.  If you want to tell people start small and go from there.

No one will be mad, they'll be excited that you're pregnant and doing well! Tell when you are comfortable.

I had a miscarriage last fall.

12w5d and haven't told most anyone yet. Just had US yesterday and got to see a very, very wiggly baby, we will be announcing later this week.

I had a miscarriage in March. When I became pregnant again I didn't make an official announcement until after I got my first trimester screening results, which was a little over 12 weeks. I told very close friends and family first though at around 8 weeks (my mom and siblings I told right away).

Uh... I'd think that they would understand if you told them why you waited. And also you shouldn't have to tell anyone until you're ready anyway. But either way it's better to wait til 12 weeks just for that reason.
