Ground Meat Question
This may seem like a silly question but after having a mild case of food poisoning this past weekend (food I didn't cook, was at a cookout), I am super nervous.
I purchased ground turkey last friday (4/5). I glanced at the date but didn't think much because it wasn't close.. Today (4/11) I pulled it out to make chili. I noticed the sell by date is 4/19. Doesn't that seem like an insanely long time from when I purchased it??
Would you still eat it today? If I hadnt used it today, would you still eat it all the way up until the 19th???
Just curious what other mom's do. I do plan to eat it today but honestly I'm nervous. I can't have another few days stuck in the bathroom at 32w pregnant!
