Custom hospital gowns?

Question

I've seen some women buy custom print hospital gowns instead of using what the hospital provides. Would you or are you considering it? And why?

I honestly don't see the point on buying something simply to feel pretty. Birth is not pretty. It's messy and painful and uncomfortable and just blagh. Use what the hospital has, one less thin to pack and take care of afterwards cuz I know you just throw their gowns into those dirty bins and they take care of it.

I'm getting one because I'm pretty short and petite and they never fit or are comfortable.

I'm just not wearing one.  I wear normal  loose fitting clothes after birth and during i just wear a bandau bra. The gowns feel like a sea of fabric trying to strangle me that doesn't even really cover anything worth  covering.

I hate those gowns lol my tail be out and I feel helpless unusually bring some sleeping shorts and a sleeping shirt with hope of being released the next day although that never happens

Just personally I wouldn't waste the money. I was induced Monday night and being discharged today, I've been through around 6 gowns. I can't imagine staining up one I own or having to clean it.
