Baby shower or no?

I’m currently 21 weeks with my first baby 💙
I know most people have their baby showers around 30+ weeks, but in 10 weeks my sister in law will be having her baby.
Is it insensitive of me to have one when the family is going to be preoccupied with my niece? I completely understand it, because I’m excited too, but this is my first baby 😢
We all live in the same town and I don’t have that many friends here, so family would be all we would have

Its not to far fetched to say that your sister in law would welcome a little break from family for 1 day, it gets exhausting so fast with a newborn and company. And that quiet bonding time is so important. You'd probably be doing her a favor.

Heck no! You should be equally as important as the newborn.  Have your shower, everyone will understand, especially when it’s completely normal to have your shower that far along.  I’m sure they will all be happy to be there too :)
