Hi ladies, so my first post in this app and I am just starting to TTC. I have severe endometriosis and have had 5 laparoscopic surgeries for the removal after it grew back - I am 33 now and had the surgeries every 18 months or so. My gyno said last surgery (12 months ago) everything looked cleaned out and said he didn’t think I would have a problem getting pregnant but I’m not sure. Since coming off the pill, the pain has been so bad for me I’ve been hospitalised in the ER 3 times in last 4 months for extreme pain management, usually around my period time.

I went off the pill after 20 years and my cycle was clockwork 28 days straight away which is a good sign. I can also feel the ovulation jab pains when it is happening (according to this app)

However, it’s really hard as because I’ve started trying I’ve stopped all of my pain medications- I also have chronic pain disorder so I was on morphine patches as well as ketamine and other opiates when the pain was so severe. I now am on nothing and so so scared that it will take a long time to get pregnant and emotionally already I am spent after 4 months of living by the cycle clock for pregnancy tests and also the clock and fear of getting my period due to the horrific pain in absence of any normal pain medications I am usually on. I

Obviously having a baby is my priority and why I literally ripped off my pain patch the second the gyno told me to get off it (I was walking down the street and ripped off and threw straight into a bin there and then, lol!)

Anyway sorry about long post, but I just wanted to see whether there was anyone willing to share their stories of endometriosis or chronic pain disorder and the fear of not being able to get pregnant before even trying?

Love x Laura
