Over the top tantrum

Anytime I tell my 19 month old no or redirect his attention he screams and cries like someone just hurt him. He is very very persistent on doing things he’s not supposed to. You could take the same object away a million times and he will still try to go for it. For example, the chargers to our phone and the controllers to the Xbox/ps4. I seriously am running out of patience and idk what to do. I redirect constantly and it doesn’t seem to be working at all. The only time he’s not being bad or mischievous is when I have him in his bouncer and give him food. Advice?
