Can I ask to be induced ?

I’m 39 weeks and soo over being pregnant . 
 Do you think I can ask to be induced ?

You can ask, they can say no. Remember, due dates can be two weeks off. Baby could be physically 37 weeks not 39, and induction can cause many many issues for you and baby.

Everyone saying your dr will say no that’s not necessarily true because my dr asked me if I wanted to set up and induction @ 39 weeks & it’s safe . I’m 35 weeks & set to get induced May 10 if nothing happens by then So women on here are going to tell you what they want consult your DR ... the worst answer you can get is NO.. good luck mama!

And when you are induced, your body doesnt naturally go into labour and therefore doesnt naturally produce the hormone that helps manage the pain...

I got induced with my daughter at 39 weeks she is my second and I had her within 9 hours after induction. They won’t induce you unless you are passed 38 weeks

My water broke and then labor just stopped and they gave Pitocin to jumpstart it and induce me to dilate as I stopped at 3 cm... My daughter ended up having a bowel movement in utero and swallowing that as well as a ton of amniotic fluid that was still in there and had to be hooked to a cpap machine to push air into her lungs to clear the fluid from them.

You can ask, but it doesn’t mean your de will do it.  My dr doesn’t induce until 41 weeks because they could be off by 2 weeks

Depends on your doctor.  I was induced at 40 weeks with my first and 39 weeks with each of my other 3 children. Best decision I ever made.

You can ask since you’re full term, but there’s a real possibility that they won’t agree to do it. Most practitioners prefer for you to go into labor naturally than to just induce for no reason. But you can try
