Phantom cries?

Anybody hear phantom cries? If so how do you deal with it. I feel like mine are getting worse and maybe I'm slowly going insane.

I hear them if I leave her in her bassinet and go to the kitchen or something for a minute. I go in there very often to check on her because i thought I heard her cry but it was just nothing and she’s perfectly fine asleep

The other night I was so exhausted I passed out. I woke up thinking I heard her wailing her head off. I checked on her and she was sleeping very quietly and soundly.

What are phantom cries?

Yes, I hear phantom cries. Just learning my son’s habits have made them better. Like I know if he starts to whine and isn’t going to fall back asleep it becomes a full-blown cry

I hear them after he has just had a long crying spell and I try to turn the volume up on the white noise to tune it out but a lot of times I have to just go check or text my husband if he’s in the room with the baby so make sure he’s not actually crying
