Being railroaded by consultant to be induced friday because baby is small. Fluid and blood supply all good. They are concerned that baby has stopped growing. I understand that they want to be safe I want my lo safe too but it was a shock, no one had discussed being induced with me at any point of this pregnancy.

I went for routine scan to make sure all was ok, which the sonographer said it was. Im then told by a consultant they need to do a trace and after fourty minutes im told by a midwife we have you booked in for Friday. We were so confused.

My partner is a chef and has a wedding to cater for on friday and too late to get cover, not to mention the money is much needed. Which means id have to go by bus with my bag on my own.

No one at the hospital has discussed the risks involved with inducing early just told me the procedure.

Im scared and dont want to do it without my oh with me. I dont want the drug to take effect and he can't get to me to support me and see out baby be born.

Has anyone else had similar and refused or delayed it? Im considering calling them and telling them no, at least till monday.

Am 38+3. They were first going to do it at 39 weeks which is Tuesday then as I left told me Friday. Am only 10 days from edd.

Anyone got any advice on how to put them off? Surly I have a say in my body and my baby?
