I am 36 weeks. At my appointment today, my doctor gave me the option of a cervical check because I’m a FTM and haven’t had any contractions. He didn’t think I’d be dilated or effaced yet. I figured we may as well, I was already undressed for the group B strep testing.

Apparently I’m already 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced! I know that doesn’t mean labor is imminent or anything but the doctor and I were both surprised. My husband was all smug because he predicted I was already dilated some (he has kids from a previous relationship and thinks he’s an expert on all things pregnancy lol)
