There was an email sent to parents today regarding a student posting something on Instagram. The school had investigated and taken action on the student. According to the email, the student will be punished following school protocol and it has been also turned over to authorities for legal action as well. Some parents are very happy with the schools steps in this and the effort they have made to protect students but some do not think a social media incident should be any business of the schools and that the administration has taken it too far by taking it to the police as well.

I dont know what the student posted but I assume it's some form of bullying or something related to other students well being/safety. That's just my assumption though.

So what are your thoughts? Was the school right? Did they go too far? I personally think they did great and really show they care about the students and wont tolerate these things. I'm including the email for everyone.
